Dear Residents:
Unfortunately, as the COVID-19 cases consumes our city, we must face the reality that Boulevard Garden’s residents are not immune to this virus. Therefore, I’m sure we have had and will continue to have residents quarantined from travelling from hotspots, residents who have come in contact with someone with the virus, residents who are sick and have COVID-19 symptoms that have not been tested, and residents who are recovering from the virus. We realize this is a very hard time for anyone in any of these categories. We also realize that you are entitled to your privacy. However, to protect the community as a whole, both sick and healthy residents, we ask that the following procedures are adhered to:
1. Quarantined persons must stay in his or her apartment, following recommendations of health authorities regarding limiting use of rooms, sanitizing, wearing gloves, masks, etc. for the required self-isolation period (usually 14 day per CDC guidelines as of 3/17/2020).
2. Quarantined person must restrict activities outside their apartment except for situations requiring medical care. Use of common areas and laundry rooms is strictly prohibited. In the event that the quarantined person must leave the building for a medical appointment, the quarantined person and any individual accompanying them will be required to wear a mask and gloves upon entering and exiting the building.
3. Individuals who do not have an essential need to be in the apartment should be discouraged from visiting. For any individual that does visit, the same procedures as noted above will be required for entry and exit into the building.
4. Trash bags will be provided by Management. Garbage and recycling is to be held in the apartment and the resident may call the Management Office for pickup. Packages and mail can be pickup by a caregiver or you may contact the Management Office or your Building Captain for assistance.
We are going through uncharted territory, and there are not many prior laws and procedure that can advise us on how to handle this situation as far as quarantined individuals are concerned. We are a community and we would like to help where it is possible, while at the same time protect our residents and stop the spread of this virus. Please remember to comply with all the current federal, state, and local directions, as well as our House Rules and guidelines. Stay home and keep safe.
Sincerely,
Douglas Elliman Property Management a/a/f
